Do enlightened persons have thoughts: No-Mind State
What is no-mind?
People ask me, 'Swamiji, do enlightened persons have thoughts?' Please understand: if you have 10 acres as your mind, if your inner space is 10 acres, all 10 acres is filled with thoughts. In my inner space I have 10 million acres and some 100 acres filled with thoughts, negligible yet much more then you.
Please understand: for the inner space I have, the space of thoughts is negligible. That's why we call no mind, but if you see the number of thoughts, the actual, factual space, it is much more then yours. When it is compared to the empty, vast inner space, the space in which thoughts are there is very less. That's why we call it no mind. 10 million acres, just only 100 acres is occupied by thoughts. Will you even remember? No! Negligible.
So, what you understand as mind I don't have; that is not there. But it does not mean there are no thoughts, there is no process. The process is hundred times more intense than in you but the background and the canvas on which the process is happening, the space in which the process itself is happening is so vast, the process is negligible.
What is stress? Techniques to deal with stress
"I’m late for work… The project deadline is looming…. There is too much on my plate…Dinner hasn’t been started, I am stuck in traffic and I am late picking up Jonathon…Why won’t this red light change…Oh no, a cop car is behind me…"
Just reading these incidents makes one start to feel agitated or stressed. Stress is such a normal part of our lives and yet we pay a heavy toll from the effects of stress on our body, mind and spirit.
If we look at each one of these situations there is something going on in our mind that is reacting to the situation at hand. “I am late for work…Deadline…Dinner…Red light…OH No! A cop car!” In each scenario the mind is not where the body is. The mind has jumped into the future to come up with a conclusion about what could happen. That conclusion is causing the mind and therefore the body to experience the symptoms of stress.

We hang on for dear life, not wanting to give up our personalities so easily. We've worked so hard to create our fabulous enviable lives, right? Inner Awakening makes you dig deep into your core – makes you see how mucked up it is from all the crap you've collected and clutched on to under the guise that it's important life lessons. Inner Awakening was just that. A liberation; an opportunity for a fresh start to a new me. It pushed me to my emotional, mental and physical limits – and then some. And it proved that there's much more to me than I ever thought. —Sat Priya Ananda, Public Relations, USA
